Hello all!
June is National CMV Awareness Month and as active members of the CMV community, we are reaching out to spread awareness and to seek donations that will assist The National CMV Foundation in an effort to eradicate this virus that affects so many families.A some of you may know, our sweet baby boy Leo was born with cCMV (congenital cytomegalovirus). He suffers from many effects of this virus, neurological disorders, hearing, and eye deficits, balance issues, nonverbal, to name a few. These effects from cCMV do not stop Leo from what he wants to do, which is everything, so that is why we are hosting a concert this CMV Awareness Month to show Leo and others affected by CMV that we, too, are NOT stopping until we find a cure for this terrible virus.
Cytomegalovirus, or CMV, is a common virus that is generally harmless to people with healthy immune systems. In fact, most people have been exposed to CMV at some point in their lives without realizing it. 91% of women do not know about CMV. Let's work together on building awareness to prevent CMV from harming more babies.
As part of your Friday evening entertainment, Zack will be performing a Facebook Livestream solo concert at 7:00pm ET on June 26th. To access the Facebook Live Event, please use the following link to catch the concert live (or the replay) on our main Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/nationalcmv
All requests welcome during the show! With all that is going on in the world, it can be challenging to focus on every good cause. But we hope you'll consider making a donation and/or join us for a fun event to support the work of the National CMV Foundation.
Sincerely,
Zack, Karen, Gabby and Leo Rigoni
